I will finally have a smaller size mannequin in two weeks...and can photograph these uniforms finally with full kit ..All these items are unissued...virtually new..nothing added..nothing removed..just as they came.Sorry for the image size..the jacket and pants tend to "blend together" at this resolution. The dot pants on the left are true "panzer" dot cut..the first I've ever owned. All the pieces are a very good size..the panzer pants are virtually for a 7 foot giant..they are huge
ONe of the very unique things about the dot hbts at least in my opinion is that while all items within a certain area ..ie..four pockets..wrappers..etc..share commanalities there are also distinct differences that I've noticed within the pieces covering the weave, thickness of fabric, printing, hardware and material used. I've yet to see a garment made out of one run of material, most as with other ss CAmo..and heer camo, incorporate bits and pieceso of scraps from different runs and different camo patterns in fact on the smaller finish areas. Also, one uniquely different aspect of these SS panzer pants is that some panels were 'misprinted' on the wrong side..that is..the die on what would commonly be the reverse. Im sure this is nothing new for many collectors here, but something which may be appreicated by newer collectors. I can post examples if anyone wishes. The only repro (reenactor) company I know which has picked up on this and incorporated it in most of their items..but not all..is "at the front"..this is not a plug for their site..but just to acknowledge that there are those that do incorporate these details in their pieces, however, the pieces fall for other obvious reasons. I dont think detailing this information is anything "new" to the repro artists..its been known and out there for some time. AS I've said..I'd be happy to post some of he camo irregularities in print and usage of different runs of the same pattern or different patterns, hope others will do the same with their camo pieces!

Reverse of pocket. These are the small details I love to see in SS camo (and Heer/Luft as well) Note some repros now incorporate these details in their pieces, but the jackets also dont use the right cloth..lining, buttons..etc etc, and sewing techniques are "modern", typically involve use of modern multi thread surgers.

Material used on interior of the cuff of the leg on one side where the tightening tape goes through made of Oak A hbt material..springside facing..looking through the tunnel by means of the button hole you can see the autumn color. These are the SS cut hbt panzer trousers. The material on the panel of the left side of the leg appears printed on the proper side.with the hbt weave featuring more prominently. On the right panel..although its possible to make out the hbt weave on the printed side, its apparent upon closer inspection that the printed side is actually what is typically seen as the reverse, more coarser side of the weave. These pants and the others really defy description in my opinion as to their crispness and newness..and many seeing them from afar would probably assume them to be repro, as I did when I acquired the four pocket unissued hbt jacket some 8 years ago.
