Does this tab look correct? If not, is the just the skull bad, or the whole tab?

Thats a hard call from the photos. I do like the piping, and I like the pattern of the skull, I have never actually seen one missing all of the finish. That would be one I'd have to see in person. Early Tomback skull should be on an early tunic. should have some grunge & funk in the recesses.

I am intersted to hear what others more in the know have to say, -Wade where are you??

Anyone else have any input on this one?

It is a little difficult to tell just from the photo. I do like the skull but, the 'wear' and lack of the finish doesn't seem to match the lack of apparent wear on the tab itself. Also, the wool of the tab seems to match the wool of the collar and that bothers me. There are some excellent and very convincing copies of panzer wrappers out there. Be careful

Can you see the prongs that attach the skull?

I agree with Mike, no wear to the tab and the skull is missing all of the finish.
