I turned a few items recently, everything was OK and appeard to be pre 1945. These were included in the group. What are they? Base color is a forest green almost like the color of a current US Army dress uniform.

Hi, I believe them to be Weimar period senior NCO 'boards that were in use prior to the introduction of the colored waffenfarbe piping. Looks like a nice matching pair.

Looks like the bottom tress was added later as he advanced from staff to full seargent. Maybe it is just the color in the picture but the stitching on the reverse looks like that to me. Pips added with advancement to his original boards? Good call on the piping, I did not notice that. Anyway, good luck.
