Here are three pieces of Albert Speer's silverware that I purchased this week. They were taken from Speer's home on the Obersalzberg by Sgt. Tom Brady from NJ.The person that I purchased these from has pictures of Sgt. Brady in Hitler's bathtub. He was not able to bring the bathtub back but he did get it out of the Berghof. Sgt. Brady also brought back a piece of Hitler's bed which is in the personal collection of the person that I bought these from. Mike

Reverse, the monograms are engraved on the reverse of these pieces. To me it sort of says something about Speer in that he chose to have his initials engraved on the reverse where they are not as obvious.

Speer's "AS" hand engraved monogram. There is a slight difference in the engraving between the three pieces. I doub't that this level of engraving could be duplicated today. There are tiny cross hatches in the "A" that I am not sure will show up in my photos they are so small.

Speer's home on the Obersalzberg from which these pieces were "liberated". Speer"s home was not bombed as the rest of the Obersalzberg was in April 1945. By looking at a map of the area I can see that his home was way to the left of most of the buildings so I assume that his home was spared to supply a place for the Americans to have a headquaters.
