Is there a need? Would anyone help? I will be happy to email my list of makers in my possession that actually exist and are not speculative to anyone who will provide me there email address. The program is in word and guaranteed virus free. RZM m/7 13 vs a Herder and Engles. Hammesfahr vs Herberts and Meyer, SMF vs Herman Hann, Altenbach vs AM Bronn-who is the winner? Anyone interested? We could at least maybe come up with a list of real in hand makers. I know listings are out there but just because someone was assigned and RZM number doesn't mean anyone has ever found an HJ made by the firm. Something to do on the cold nights of winter? let me know Russ

Russ,

I got your list last year and I can tell the other members, that it has been very useful, thanks a lot.

But I am interested in an update, since you have been adding interesting stuff to your collection lately Wink

Two knifes that I have, I did not find on your list (yet):
- RZM m7/83! (Richard Pluemacher)
- RZM with motto m7/5 (Carl Julius Krebs)

Greetings,

Herman

Hello Russ,
As I own a few HJ Fahrtenmesser, I would be very interested in your list. A little research is always fun.

Russ: The WKC Bowie knife blade style HJ has been seen both with and without trademark of Knight's Head. I have both and found directly from veterans. Bob Grant also has found it with the Knight's Head TM. All of these are believed to have been mid to late war issues.

Well I finally bought the right stuff and Lance can now take pictures and email them. I doubt if I will even try to learn-I had enough trouble learning my new tractor's ins and outs. ( I mow 6 acres weekly) If there is a particular maker mark you want to see let me know. I am not saying it will be immediate but we will get it to you. I have just about gotten through all the HJs I have and will be listing some on the classifieds Memorial Day Weekend. Don't know what they will be yet but if I have two identical I am selling one. It seems I keep most everything because two identical maker marks and dates will have different rivets or grips etc. There may be 3 or 33 I don't know. all are from my collection. No lists yet. I will list what I am selling, if I sell any on Saturday afternoon, May 27. Russ

Thanks for a good list!
is SM/1940 a good makers mark and marked Germany on the other side?

Cheers for a first timer on a HJ knife!
