hi,,,,what you have there is a politcal leaders hat from the Ortsgruppe level,the lowest level of political leader of the NSDAP,,,looks to be missing the wreath,buttons & chincord,,,,nice hat...robert

Do you have any other shots of this beautiful hat? I am sure that missing componets can be found easily enough. Most certainly, the items were removed post war, so their replacement would not be a problem by me. Although I would make this fact known if/when you decide resell it.

I agree with Paul. This cap has a beautiful form to it. I would take time to finish it off for sure! I also fully agree that any refurbishment be made known. A small written statment placed in the sweatband is a good idea. I fixed up a tunic and placed the info in the pocket. Sounds stupid but it is all you can do.
