Buy it!!! You're not going to see another like it for a VERY long time.
If you want to criticise someone first walk a mile in their shoes. Then, when they come after you, you'll be a mile ahead and they'll be barefoot.

mongobongo, if you like it and have the money, buy it. its very simple. You will find many collectors who own pieces they really do not have not much info on but they really love the piece. Try not to base every purchase on its dollar value. Thats what its all about, love of the stuff.goodluck! Bret

$10,000 ?
You should post the seller's name here.
It seems interesting, probably Italian - just a guess from the looks - but unless there is a traceable inscription and pictures of it in wear by a top guy, I think that you might want to pass.

Mongo, call his bluff, and let him "sell it" to whoever. maybe you have shown too much interest or emotion on it, and this in turn has made the seller excited, thinking he has a one of a kind item, (maybe he does?) remember, a fool parts easily with his money. pay what YOU want to pay, and leave it at that.

I offered 2K for it and I told him to take the 10K as quick as possible as it was a red hot offer.. I hope he gets it TBH but its not worth anything like that to me without knowing what it is!

I wonder if it was the chap trying to sell it to me? but I suspect its whoever paid him $10,000 for it (if someone did) is trying to make a quick buck on it.
