Hi folks
I not a buckle collector, but do have some German buckles in my possession. This one is made of steel and has green painting. Unfortunate it is unmarked, but it looks original to me? What do guys think? Can post more pictures if needed. Best regards FJ

Looks good to me. A mixture of steel and aluminum parts which I have seen before. FJ, could you show a view of the side so we can see how the catch ends appear on the buckles sides?

Thanks a lot for fast replies Smile Here are some more pictures. Did a check on the buckle now, and it seems like all the parts are magnetic?
Best regards FJ

The prong sleeve and the prongs are magnetic? They had the appearance of aluminum. Could be silver painted steel. I see the post through the prong sleeve is steel.

Thanks for the additional pictures. Good "crank" catch buckle.

this is a version of the maker Aurich out of dresden. It is rarer than other buckles... but not realy scare.

the mixture of aluimium and steel parts considers because some makers had a lot of quantitis of aluiminum hooks in storage.

you can find by some makers.

here is for example a C. Oshang Dresden out of 1940:

the alluminium hook seems to be magnatic because of the steel nail inside.
