Yes, they are nice & yes they can be addictive! Nice dagger, gold washed hangers too!

Very nice! I believe this is the most addictive type of dagger if you are into variations! I like your hangers too! Lotts of silver and toned so nicely! Congrats! Kevin.
It's ALL in the DETAILS!!.......

Nice. Look at the nice grimey patina. Very cool. To this day, I wish I never cleaned my solo Heer dagger. When I got it, it was loaded with wonderful dark patina. I Semichromed it some years back and have regreted it since. Luckily, the darkening is slowly coming back.

Sword-Fish, leave your piece on a nice sunny window ledge and get any smoker's to deposit lots of nicotine on it, you'll soon have a nice patinated dagger again.

Nolan, Interesting you say that. I recall a discussion about 2 years ago regarding patina vs. nocotine. I actually believe it was here in the wehrmacht daggers section. I can say, that after inspecting and cleaning certain vet acquired pieces (an Eickhorn 1710 blucher to bes exact), I do believe entirely, that nicotine patina does exist.

Very nice Eickhorn Heer! That combo is the most classic Third Reich dagger in my opinion! Unusual Portepee?

I think the portepee is just a manufacturer variant. Adds some interest for sure. I've seen similar examples on Luft daggers too.
