Well I was at the war and piece show today, and I could not believe my eyes, so I rushed home, got hold of all my spare bits and pieces and did a huge swop for this little beuty.

The regulations recently turned up, and now I have one in my hand, I guess the offiers did not change there shoulderboards to conform to the police, but adapted new insignia as is evidenced by this lovely jacket. I hope you all enjoy.
I just need the one with the black collar patches now.

Gary,

Quite amazing. The insignia is totally NOT what I would have expected. Standard police tabs and LSP boards with CARMINE base rather than the specified gray. AMAZING.

Just goes to prove, once again, that the regulations were NOT followed very closely on this stuff, particularly the less centralized groups like the feuerwehr and obviously LSP.

Thanks for showing, and once again the green monster of jealousy rouses!

Super looking tunic and quite a rare bird, great pickup.

Interesting looking tunic, any interior markings? Guess I don't pay much attention to LSP, was the finding of the regulations posted?

Dear Dave,

Ernst has a synopsis of the regulations on his webpage, that's where I saw them.

Gary,

A super tunic from the looks of it! Could we see a shot of the interior? Does it have the same type of light purple silky lining as on your LSP tunic by chance?

George

Hi George

No purple lining this time but a nice brown taylored lining with tag. Here is also a better shot of the eagle, well I thought it was a better shot I guess not.

Hi Gary,
That indeed is a very nice tunic. Are your two LSP-officers tunics the only ones known in collections?

As you mention correctly the LSP didn't change shoulderboards when they transferred from Luftschutz/SHD/LSW into the Luftschutzpolizei. This was completely conform regulations and your tunic is a perfect example of that.

congrats

Ernst

Thank you for the comments, I do not know if there are anymore officers versions in other collections but I have a friend in Germany who has the other ranks versions.
