As Dave discussed some time back on the SS dagger forum Boker are back in producing a '33 em style dagger - minus those nasty nazi symbols Smile As you can see from the pics the quality is still quite high, i wonder how longer before one of these is re-worked into an SS..
Hopefully the sharp centre ridge will tip buyers off. But heads up they are more than likely on the way.

YIKES!
As a complete dagger this one has tooo many flaws to be mistaken by most as original, IMO. However the parts from this piece (especially the fittings and grip could be parted out.
Are all of the grip son these repro's so light? If so, we may be seeing a lot more bolnds turning up in the furture... Roll Eyes
Thanks for the "heads up".
Johnny

This is from the company that denies that it ever made SS daggers. Quite a while ago one of the guys posted the contents of a letter he got from Boker denying their involvement with anything to do with the SS.

Luckily, every component except maybe the blade is different enough to be recognizable. Look at the curves of the grip and the angles of the crossguard. The scabbard is a very poor imitation.

I think the blade is pretty bad too. Makers mark is not like the originals, the central ridge is too sharp, the blade shpe looks way off (too "pointy") and there is no motto...
Still, it is good to be aware of these...things.
