Hello, what can you guys tell me about this little gem, It is in perfect condition, and I do know that it's associated with the HJ. It comes with a lifetime guarantee so I don't think that authenticity is an issue. I have no idea what it's all about, as well as the value of it. so any information would be great! Thanks in advance.

NOTE: the black background is not part of the patch it was the bacground that I tried to crop out.

Hi John,
It is a machine embroidered white rune on a red circle. It is the Sigrune badge of the DJ (Deutsche Jugend) = German Youth.
According to the color it is an Oberbann 1 according to Angolia Book, The HJ Volume 2. Value low end $30 upper $80. Hope this helps. JME

John, have a look at this great thread from Robert Noss, where you will see some pics of this type of patch 'in wear'.

JME, Thnks for the info, it is greatly appreciated.

Ruski, Thanks for the link to the thread. Those pictures are fantastic! They really give some great insight into the life of the HJ. To see the exuberant expressions on the faces of the boys, and the stern look of dedication of their leaders, reminds me of a select few of my old scout leaders!
In a weird way it's kind of sad to see this type of allegiance and devotion gone. It is a thing of the past. In my opinion, In this day and age that sort of thing only lives in books and photo's such as these.
