unmarked #5 back...... just noticed after posting the back photo of this badge that it's marked on the pin. Looks like L/18 but will have to pull the badge out and double check.

All the unmarked have different hinges, catches and/or pins,so I would say different makers or variations. If anyone knows the makers of any of them please let me know. Joe if you could get rid of that double photo i'd appreciate it.
Here's the only cloth black I have.

L/18 mm. That's all, there is no more. unless you would like to do WWI's. Guess we could also do the silve and gold grades. will have to wait a couple of days on those though.

Wow. Smile Raymond, can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciate all the work you put forth to post all these variations.
I agree we can all learn by observing the various hinges and catches shown.

I have an example marked 93 on the pin. Do not think I can get a scan.

Thanks,--dj--Joe

I'll dig out my remaining examples and see how they scan.

Raymond, I have seen the small clutch/pin back mini's before in differing sizes, never heard anything against them.

Thanks Joe, that's good to hear. Tomarrow is the show in Union NJ, should find a couple of more wound badges. Will post any I get.

Nice Raymond! ,, Now that's a collection.. Thanks for listing all of them..
There's always a few good Blk,Wound badges at Union but I think you already have all the different makers! Big Grin

I'd say that mini is good,,and a rare piece.. Hamelmans WB book shows a 'half size' 25mm gold 1914 style that reminds me of yours,,makes sense a WW2 version would carry over..
He lists a bunch of mini sizes - 10mm, 14, 16, 18, 21 and 25 mm pieces....,G.

Thanks Gaspare. Only picked up 1 black wound badge. I already have the maker (#100) but this one is in an LDO box.

Raymond,
Nice addition! No rust on that one.
My brass example is an L/11 so no reason to post it. The 93 refuses to scan for the moment. I will persevere.

Hello Everyone,

Here is the only Black Wound Badge I have.
It is maker marked L/52 for C.F. Zimmermann Pforzheim.

Regards,
Stephen
