My newest member of M36 gang, straight out of the woodwork, still has all the patina and green gunk here and there. I have absolutely no issues with originality of the dagger, but there is just one detail that is not a textbook thing, and I wonder if anyone of you guys has seen something like that.
The clip is not stamped with DRGM, instead, if you look into the hole of the Wotan's knot, there is only one letter "M" visible, and it's a little bit different than the "M" in regular DRGM stamping. it's more like those M letters stampet on short hanger clips (M 5/8, M5/25 etc.). No traces of replacing the clip. Everything is 100% homogeneous.

Kulturzeichen. I checked them with big magnifying glass, they are twins.
One important thing I forgot to mention: the chain is plated steel type, of course.
