Gentlemen,

I would like to expand my collection into headgears and would like to buy the best reference book there is.
Which book on German headgears do you think would be best for a comprehensive and detailed study ?

Thank you !

For cloth headgear I recommend The Collector's Guide to Cloth Third Reich Military Headgear, by Gary Wilkins. I have a copy and it has helped me very much.

Gentlemen,

I forgot to mention that I was merely interested into Visors from the Luft and Army.
Do you think that the book entitled, "Headgear of Hitler's Germany" Volume 1 would be just as good ?
I did find one book but at $ 125 USD.
I just find out that it has been out of print for a while.
The Wilkins book though is much cheaper.
Thanks for your help.

Headgear of Hitler's Germany is a very good book, too. I have it, and use it regularly. Try looking for it on eBay. I see such reference books going for cheap there very regularly.

Dear Patrice,

The wilkins book is worth its cost in the information contained therein-it goes much further into construction and materials that can assist in evaluating an example before purchase.

Best Wishes
