Here is my latest find:

The piece appears to be of real silver, but it is not marked in the lower arm V. Ribbon is proper and has the sewn bunch at the center.

Ron,
Nice find! Who else beside Deschler made these?

Good question. I had heard of unmarked examples before, but this is the first one I have encountered. I may be selling this one as I have a 900 1 marked one and it is an extra, but will have to decide if I really need two.

Ron,
I have heard of unmarked examples also. Let me ask this, we know there are variations in the suspension loop and ring, are the ones with the ribs(like the gold and silver in my other thread) deschler made and all others are smooth like yours. If that is true did deschler have a patent on that design and the others built off that design but made a slight differnce in the suspension loop to beat pat infringment.

That's not exactly how it works. From what I know the ribbed ones appear on the RK KVK with swords and the plain ones appear on the RK KVK without swords. This has been the way it is with all the ones I have found directly from veterans. All of mine came fron Schloss Klossheim from veterans in the 3rd Division who captured this castle where the orders and medals were held in Nazi Germany.
