A Genuine German Forestry Cutlass with Ivory Handles 330mm engraved blade on both sides,Scabbard of Leather with Brass fittings.Maker Marked "J V Barantiert" Solingen.A magnificent piece of weaponary again out of my personal collection.On this I will offer layby terms.

Ruski, if this is his description then it's O.K as far as it goes, yes this is a Forestry cutlass. If your question is as too the period then it is 100% post war manufacture, almost certainly made in the last few years, near enough all the "J V Garantiert" and "Weyersberg&Co" cutlasses you see today have been made in the last 10 years, most within the last 5 years, they are still making them today.

Correct-typical Ebay item usually from Eastern Europe-Poland. There is a guy from there that offers them at least once a month.
