Hello Straßburger,
in my opinion the 36/39 is a fake.
(i´m not sure, 80%)
The nickel silver is for me ok.
The lather tab on it is not from O&C
Even the buckel is not made by O&C

Best

Hallo Pascal,

both the buckles are original Wink
By the pics I'm not able to judge the leather tab, but I do not like it

Best

There is great probability the nickel silver was made by the Assmann firm. In fact some late nickel silver period example have dual markings (the one here and RZM 155/xx SS). Also prongs on those latest are typical Assmann.
Known are already several buckles made by Assmann marked with an Overhoff patent and some Overhoff made buckles marked with an Assmann patent. In such case the marking shown on the buckles does not implicate the maker but rather who the righteous patent holder was.
Even if the above buckle was intended for the SS, its period of manufacture was before any "controled" period. In consequence it is legitimate to find only civil / commercial issues rather than state enforcements / regulations.

The tab is IMHO post war added even if we could expect to find a period added one on such buckle.

A very scarce SS buckle indeed. I will be grateful Pascal if you could send to my private email address larger photos of it. TIA.
