My secondary focus(outside the Luftwaffe) is the medical services. I enjoy collecting medical tunics and insignia from all branches of the Third Reich(military, political, and civil).

I would love to see what you all have in the medical/veterinary field!

I will kick this thread off with my Heer Medical NCO. I have alreay posted my Luftwaffe medical tunics in the "Luftwaffe tunics" thread, so I will not repost them here.

Here are some of the contents that are included in the medic's pouch. I wonder what is impregnated in the sugar cubes(morphine?). Definately something I would not want to try!

Glenn,

You are right! That crusher looks like it was made to go with that tunic! I love the field tunics! That is the first M36, unpiped sani tunic I have ever seen! It is a very fine specimen. Cool

Juan!

It is great to see you here! The Oberst tunic is stunning!!! He must have had some heck of a ribbon bar! Have you ever thought of researching this Oberst to find out some more on him? I bet that he has some pretty hard to find Imperial medals on his bar!!!

Regards
Paul

Hi Paul

There were 2 medical Oberst with that last name. I think that the tunic is named to Wilhelm as he was stationed in Munich and the tunic was tailored in Munich. Robert Ruzzier did a search at the NARA, but his records were not there. I hope to keep looking.
