Everything looks OK to me. I don't like the SS runes on the pocket, usually they are centered below, but a minor point. Tunic is good, eagle is good and seems original to the tunic. Frankly, I think the boards may be replacements. They are too short and too much green is showing at the seam ends. I think they were sewn this way to fit the buttons. Usually the boards are sewn with the seam against the braid with no green underlay showing.

Ok uniform looks Ok but what about the runic insignia on the left pocket? Is it correctly placed. All uniforms of SCHUPO I have seen have this patch placed under the pocket on the left.

You are correct, BUT if the owner had no awards or badges to wear I can see it being sewn to the pocket. Regulations say below, but with civil police uniforms reulations are often not strictly adhered to. Absent any evidence that they have been added I would leave tham as they are.

OK, so If You could buy it would You or not? I thik about it but I have to be 100% sure of the originality. Runic patch is one of the most interesting part of this tunic.

OOPPS, OK.
Dear Gottlieb,
I would buy it if the price was right. Good original tunics are becoming difficult to find. I would buy it if the price was not rediculous. The runes look original so being on the pocket is of little concern to me other than being outside the norm.

The seller asks about $1000. But this is an auction...
How much money would You call reasonable price?

Gottlieb,
IMHO, the tunic is good and the insignia looks good from the photographs. This type of wartime tunic normally had removable shoulder boards and not sewn in boards so they may have been replaced either during the war because of promotion or after. The runes should be below the pocket but I have seen photos of them worn in this position, so they could have been sewn on incorrectly or after the war.

I have no problem with the jacket, eagle, shoulderboards or runes. A very nice all round jacket.

Tunic looks good, only little notice. The shoulder boards are changed - ie. left one must be on right shoulder and so on.
