I had originally mailed these photos to an extremely helpful member of this helmet fourm. I was mistaken on the makers of one of them, and instead of having him continually answer my dumb questions on a daily basis Big Grin, I thought that I would put the information here for all to learn from. These decals are both on "Q" helmets. My I have your assistance on them ? JR

Doesn't matter the shell on this one. That decal is a repro in my opinion.

Hi Dave, Quist is the helmet maker, stamped "Q". Qs are a little different than the others. Decals are typcially a little different, Heer and SS.

I think Ty is correct. It appears to be a current fake - a hybrid of Q runes and ET shield. Many of them are on market now. That's a great photo, by the way. Eek Interesting as it says: "This huge pile of SS helmets ...." Is the man trying to grab SS helmets on the top of the mountain? Big Grin
