thanks guys. I would rather my soul burn in hell than give this up1 The scabbard is in very nice shape. The anodizing and laquer is as good as they get.

Well when the Reaper is knocking at your door you might want to reconsider eternally barbequeing your soul for a dagger. Big Grin In the meantime... I'd burn my New York steak for that one! Smile

Hi Bob,you stole yourself a nice dagger.I think Bruckmann is one of the top makers.
Is it an NSKK.?
Kingtiger only got his first Bruckmann a few weeks,so they must be nearer a 10,heres a link to my NSKK

Thanks Guys! Awesome daggers there KT and Nats. I went to the show not planning on buying anything, so I didnt bring my excell sread sheet I made of Fishers info or McSarr Scale. Wasnt sure if it was rare or common and bought it based on condition. I try ans oly buy daggers that are inside of rarity facotr of 10 on fisher or 5 on McSarr. I was real happy when I got home and saw how rare it was. Its not an NSKK....justs a rich brown scabbard, and may be the way I took the pic that makes it look dark.

As a side question...which do u guys is more accurate measure of rarity....Fisher or Mcsarr?

I think, personally, that Mike's McSarr is a better judge of rarity. Fisher has a lot more info on a given maker, but Mike get's to the point quicker.

Bob,
You did steal the dagger, from me.I had planed to go to the show but was unable to.So the dagger is rightfully mine Big Grin Roll Eyes.
I wouldn't worry too much about rarity.I once past on a beautiful SA because Fishers listed it as common,so I figured I could always find another(for the price).Truth was it was uncommon(McSARR 7).I should have bought it just because of it's condition.Enjoy your new dagger.

I could not agree more...there is a Julius Ohliger on e-bay right now and if I didn't have two already, I would hit "buy it now" in an instant. Somebody here should snag that baby before I can't stand it any longer. Condition is everything and that one is a bargain if I ever saw one.

Well...I couldn't stand it. That was a freekin' deal. You have to move fast on these early makers guys...that Ohliger was a rare dagger with a LOT of upside potential in that condition.

Mark, now we know your 'can't stand it any longer' threshold - 20 minutes! Smile

Another great score - you should post the three of them together since they are from the same family!
