It appears to be a 7.92 type 88--Hanyang. A rough copy of the German 88.Should not be fired with regular 7.92x57. It used a special round. Can't help with value though I can't think it would be much.

Yes, that is a 88, more a wall hanger than anything else. Don't ever try to shoot modern ammo labeled 8 x 57 JS, only 8 x 57 J with .318 bullets can be used and only with a perfect condition barrel and inspected rifle.
