I would appreciate some help with this frog. Li would fit something not much larger than a dress bayonet. The marks on the back are: AAZ 12 and in a separate location 11.II.3. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen similar frogs on some Imperial hirschf�ngers. Maybe Houston or Gary can comment on the reverse stampings?

Yes, I agree. I actually purchased it in the hopes that it was for a Hirschfanger. It would be a very tight fit for the TR Hirschfanger, but will work fine with the Imperial ones. I would be very happy if that is in fact what it is for. Wolfgang

It could also be for an Imperial sidearm- like a police sword for one of the states, or maybe a naval cadet style.
