I pick this up at a local auction for next to nothing. The main reason I bought it was because there was an IC 1st Class pinned on it with the US items. Anyone ever seen anything related to the 1944 Louisiana Maneuvers?

Pretty cool. Most items i have seen are related to the 1941 maneuvers. I have seen lots of yard long photos and Camp Polk items.

After I posted the photo I did a search on the '44 Maneuvers. It turns out that they were canceled to allow the troops to participate in the Normandy invasion.

Wow, that's cool. Never saw one!
Must be like a "Dewey defeats Truman" thing.

there was a good article in the last Military Trader on the 41 maneuvers.

Neat pendant Brian.
However I really like the part "They were cancelled tp allow the troops to participate in the Normandy invasion". Razz

Pennant is surely neat indeed. The military is nice that way, they "always" want the troops to enjoy themselves!
