OK - I'm looking for the chinstrap for M40 SD helmet. How much approx. I can expect to pay for the nice, original one? Sorry for my "ignorant" question but I have just one German helmet and NO idea about the prices.  Thanks in advance.

If memory serves me right dealers ask around $100 for ones in excellent condition.

Yes these things can often bring $100 or more. Be wary of the "originals" offered on ebay. sometimes they are OK, but more often are fakes...
