Hey Guys
Just picked this up at a local gun show. Its not a typical silk flag its kind of a cotton Canvans Material. It looks like it was hanging up somewhere instaed of carried by a solider. Curious if anyone can make out what the lettering says. Let me know if it can be done. Thanks Guys.

The writing does not look Japanese. I have my doubts regarding this flag.

Hi Spencer,I am afraid I have to agree with Jareth.Although I am by no means an expert,I am also skeptical of this flag.Reasons being:All writing appears to have been done with the same writing implement,In the same hand. Many of the characters appear to be variations of the Japanese kanji for the number SAN or 3.Most personal flags were signed by many different people, friends, family, etc.By no means am I insulting your piece,I am merely pointing out some points of concern.Best wishes and Happy holidays Geoff.
