Hi all, I've just received images of an SS full rohm from Poland. I'd be grateful for any opinion if it's genuine or not. Thanks, Jersey

You just can't tell unless it is flagrant reproduction. Hands on I can tell you in a few minutes, but telling you by veiwing images is unfair to you and the dagger.

Would a early dagger have a long neck eagle or short neck ? Tommy

It looks suspicious to me. The tang is very clean, too clean unless the original patina and residue from forging was cleaned off. The trademark appears deeper and darker than the inscription. The motto looks bogus, especially the "M" in "Meine." The "Rohm" signature does not match well at all with known authentic examples. As always, a "hands-on" inspection is more definitive, but I would not buy this dagger, especially considering the area from which it comes. Although there are undoubtedly honest sellers there, there are also numerous sellers of the other kind.

I concur with Grumpy. That the "M" in "Meine" looks bogus. I just is not right. That is clear to me, at least, from the photos provided. I don't think this one is in the category of needing a "hands on". Waste of time. Do "they" have a "full Rohm" factory somewhere in Poland ? I have seen nothing but junk come out of there. -wagner-

This is the same dagger I showed seven threads below this one in "SS Herder full Rohm". You're about to be ripped off if you buy this dagger...
