Schokohaus (chocolate business) Resüwa in Berlin 1933, Chocolate association meeting . The NSDAP is also involved in (sweet) business ; you don't expect that directly if you collect tinnies Smile
Any info is welcome.

BTW this must be one of the rarer badges as the RESÜWA must have been merged or rather was taken over by the RNährstand in 1934,February.

Bill, thank you for your kind words.

One of my favorites……2e Bezirkssportfest Starnberg 1936. Bezirk is the neutral word for district ; it is located in (Gau) Bayern. You would expect instead of "Bezirk", the Nazi-classification word "Kreis"- Starnberg... ?
Note the difference between the birds ; a cheerful and a grave one. The left one is the crest of Starnberg, the second the nazi-eagle of the well known Deutscher Reichsbund für Leibesübungen, free translated German national league for gymnastics.

Cheers,
Benten

Here a nice tinnie... Reichs Kolonial Bund(RKB ) .
Text; "Mitteldeutsche Kolonialschau Wien 1940.
The emblem above the eagle exists as an RKB-enamel member badge. Below the African colonies.
Why Mitteldeutsch( translated; Middle German) ? Wien (Vienna) where the show was kept was in the south of Nazi-Germany .
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_German

The Germans had more colonies....if you are interested, see this link;

WHW 1939. Tag der Wehrmacht Münster.Westf(alen);... raising money for the begin of the war in sept. 1939 .

Realize the quantity of materials they used to make “just” a WHW tinnie .
- 1 an iron core,
- 2 bronze finish on the front
- 3 silver finish on the rear.
- 4 brass needle
- 5 tin / lead for the solder.

I like the perfect combination of the Artdéco eagle and the Gotic script "WHW".

Tinnie KdF Gau Köln Aachen.

Text above ; Nach harter Arbeit , Kraft durch Freude.
After hard labour, Strength through Joy.
Text below ; N.S.Gemeinschaft K.d.F. Gau Köln Aachen
National Socialistic Community K.d.F Gau Köln Aachen
I ‘ve red in the book about the KdF of Baranovski ( Robert !) that you these badges were given/sold when you took a tour with this local KdF .
I think the wavy line through the KdF- emblem below signifies the river Rine.
The crisp blue paint has come off for a part , many these tinnies have this.

Much depicted on the KdF tinnie. I never thought about the ribbon representing the river.

Kreistag der NSDAP des Siegkreises 1935. District meeting of the NSDAP of the district (of the little river ) Sieg, near Siegburg Westfalen. I love the design of the strong eagle in front holding the branches and in the background the German landscape with vinyards in the hills , medieval castles and the river with boat.

Benten, well framed design to the 1935 KREISTAG.

Interesting badge Joe.
It depicts the Marines memorial in Laboe ( Kiel ) of WW1 ( first stone in 1927 ), erected for the fallen marines and sailors.
Your tinnie has the date 1916 ; it is concerning WW1 the seebattle Germans against the Brittons at Skagerrak in 1916.
The second date of your tinnie….. ( 31mai ) 1936…. it was inaugurated again in the Third Reich . Later in wartime it was also a memorial for WW2 marines and sailors. It is 85m high ; that is very high!

Benten, thank you for posting the pictures and the info., it is indeed an interesting, inspired structure.

It brings to my mind images of a sail and a prow cutting through the water.

I see a U-boat in the first image.

One of my favourite tinnies……….
The “Brigade Aufmarsch 45 , 24 Juni 1934 “. This meeting was a few days before the Night of the long knives.
The SA was on top of it’s power.
They became a threat to the NSDAP. In the weekend of the Night of the long knives , most of the SA topmen were killed by the NSDAP.

As far as I know a brigade is a very large military unit, the SA were not the soldiers of the nation ( that was the Wehrmacht) , but they used the term ” brigade”.

Thanks Joe; I appreciate your reply.

Here another tinnie ; Reichsparteitag 1935. After the struggle of 1934 (Röhmputsch)....... The symbolism on this tinnie NSDAP, SA and Wehrmacht are depicted. I see on this tinnie the symbolism of consolidation of the Wehrmacht and Sa under the power of the NSDAP. Now they (NSDAP) have won all the power. All under the wings of the NSDAP Adler (Eagle).
This tinnie has it's original color....braun finish.

Benten, That's a nice example. For the sake of me not straining my brain, what would NBG. represent?

Obverse of my example. Showing a little more wear.

Thanks for posting your nice tinnie Joe.
When I started to collect I never had encountered or seen these badges with the brown layer, so my first Reichsparteitag 1935 is one without layer.

I'm not sure, but probable the logo "NBG" means Nürnberg.

A very nice KDF tinnie. One of my favourites.
Nordland; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordland
I believe there is also a KDF tinnie with text “Norway” with more or less the same design.
Thanks for posting.

Cheers,
