Can anyone help me with this knot? It came with a short dress bayonet, but the frog was missing. To which unit was this knot assigned? I heard that the grey band means wartime. Is this correct? Thanks for any help!

Thanks.
Ive posted the knot as well on another forum and got the following information (including photos of another, identical knot):
- service knot of the "Reichswehr/Wehrmacht" - model 1928 (means carried after 1928) - made of wool - red-red-red = 6th company
