Hi -
have you guys heard of an e.m. W-ss pz m43 with an 'ss-dienstmutze' ink stamp on the lining? Cap has two silver pebbled buttons, says the clerk at the out of state antiques mall (dealer wasn't in); and no pulldown loops for the earflaps. Only other mark is size. Insignia is a trap that isn't sewn thru the lining.
The 'kappe' stamping makes me very very wary. Sorry no pix but then i suspect none are needed :--- /
(more wariness: same dealer - according to the clerk - has 2 'erel stirndruckfrei' luft em peakers with diamonds he says are plastic not celluloid..... Too bad b/c one's white-piped!) thanks for help, david

Most SS M-43's I've seen generally only have a size stamp. I think some with maker's marks exist, but I don't think it was common.
