Maybe the FedEx guy left a present on the front porch. I'd better scamper downstairs and see...

Bryan, You're right...this type of thread is the new way to build up the suspense level. Just wait until my next FedEx package arrives. I'm going to show the airplane landing in Toronto! PS - you guys are going to be in awe with Cody's new baby... Cheers,
Darryl

I am sure it has nothing to do with 3rd Reich Militaria.
Maybe a box of Fruit from Florida

Waffen SS M-35dd, ET64, 1939-dated reinforced aluminum linerband, leather is named to 'Braun', 1938-dated chinstrap, domestamp is far too faint to read, but, if you click your heels together and squint 'just right' a date can almost be seen. The runic decal is the very same one as shown in Baer, page 189. I have known of this gorgeous helmet for some time and now happily own it. Hope you enjoy the eye candy. Cody

Wow.....what a hat. I am dying of "helmet envy".
Also, I think that I heard the faint sound of Shu's ice cream cone hitting the floor!

Rob...I dont understand it either...on May 15th of 1967 some guy in the Rep. of Viet Nam did not like me and made a mess of my "chicken plate"...daah...it was a perfectly olive chicken plate until he done that...so now I use it as my atavar...since it did save my life that day...it hangs in my library...since all the doorgunner, crewchiefs, pilots and co-pilots of the 176th assault Helicopter Company signed it for me...your SteinMeister
