I have this pin with RZM 13 marked on the back. It is about 1 inch wide. Can anyone ID this pin? Any idea of value?

It's a NSDAP member eagle (Hoheits-abzeichen) to be worn in place of the party pin in civilian clothes.

From the marking, it was made between Dec. 1934 and March 1935, when the RZM logo and manufacturing numbers were in use, but before the M1 prefix was added.

Cheers,

Stephen

Good question Paul. IMHO I would say yes, lets see what others say. Here is my example, geshgesh and assman marked with the A on the reverse.

Wouldn't be specific to the SS - any party member could wear it. Sometimes worn on the tie when in uniform (AH liked to).

Here's a page from the Organizationsbuch der NSDAP showing the old and new form of the eagle pin for general use (sorry for the small size).

Can you estimate the value of this pin? I paid $25 for it.

Wade,

$25 is just right for that pin.

The first pin shown has a very heavy duty fastener the right strength to also work as a hat badge ?
