I believe this is a fire protection police cap, but what rank would have wore this. I have seen other cap's listed as Fire P.P. Overseas caps but they look much different in that there is no Carmine Piping around the edges and also the eagle placement. What do you guys think about this?

Hi,
I believe this is a post office cap. A Feuerwehr cap would have a police eagle rather than a "political" eagle.
Value........~$150 imho

But Navy blue with red carmine piping, why? I got it from a very reputiable source. Please this is a great mystery every color points to Feuerwehr, but it has a political eagle, maybe different sub org.? Postal fire man, you know to put out all the fires from the postal workers gone postal

Hello,
Actually, I believe the post office used a "carmine" piping on navy blue. I am not an expert on caps, but that eagle is definitely wrong for fire department. The piped "fire" caps were for the volunteer feuerwehr, and I can't recall ever seeing this type of eagle in photos. Perhaps some of the uniform guys skulking about know for sure.

See....I told you I wasn't an expert. Not even competent, let alone an expert. I better stick to police eagles!
