Hi Pat , I bought the set from a great friend ..an older Collector died and he bought it from the Widow (same place my Herder '33 came from) It came complete with the pants as well. Sorry about the mickey mouse pics ..kinda tired tonight and midrats & breakfast are still ahead of me (ugh)

Mike, my compliments to you. This is an amazing collection. You must have been collecting for at least 50 years with this kinda accumulation. What you need for displaying all that stuff is the 747 hangar in Everett, Washington.

Thanks Manfred ...I'm really glad you like it, it is fun and a big part of the Hobby being able to share "collections" with each other. I (unlike many) never really centered on collecting certain things like JUST Headgear or JUST Medals ..I loved it ALL ..but , I could never have been able to start a "broad spectrum" style collection at todays prices ..pretty soon I bet the "Robb Report" will prob be doing an article about this Hobby. I think I was 6 or 7 when I got my first Helmet ...I'll be 50 this year (that went by quick huh?) Anyway ..as long as you guys don't mind , I'll post a few more pics Here are some of my Ordnance items ..

There's one hat in this picture that I bought ($25) to have fun with (I was a kid so cut me some slack ) ..it really doesn't belong in the case because it's a repro ..but I think I keep it for , memories. Can you pick it out ?

Thank you Mike for showing me the Banschutzpolizei uniform. You certainly have quite an amazing collection. Congrats on a fine display. Tell me Mike, is it a Sudeten kepi and its proper brown shirt that you're showing in the background of one of your pic ?

Very impressive, Mike. If the cooking job ever gets tiring, there just may be a spot in the museum business open for you.
I have a question when you get time. In the picture with the time 22:42, on the lower shelf is what appears to be a dark blue visor cap with red piping. Just what was that one?
I am asking because I have a neighbor that has a similiar one he wishes to sell me, but having never seen one like this in dark blue, but with a ****ade for lower insignia. It appeared to me to be DDR cap with TR insignia.
It is still available for $250.
Possibly I can photograph it soon.
....tj

Hi Tj ...That's a Visor for Civilian Fire Fighters working for the Luftwaffe ..like the Air Field Fire Dept.I hope you can get it soon because it's not that common , and that's a great price. I've also seen these with the Luft Eagle (not sure if that was regulation or not) Bill Shea has one on his site -- http://www.therupturedduck.com/WebPages/Otherhdgr/hg71.htm

Wow Mike!! Your collection is amazing. The Teno Tunic is the first I have ever seen. Thank you for showing it off.
Unless I missed something, you do not have any Luftwaffe cloth?
Regards Paul

Hi Paul ...I think I have some patches an maybe a few tab sets but ..not a ton of cloth and NO WHERE close to what you have , come to think of it , I bet you cornered the market on Luft Tabs. In that big Glass case I have a bunch of Ryker mounts with "stuff" (not sure WHAT "stuff" ..it's been a while since I took them out )I know one is my "You've been Screwed" case, I keep all my badges that I've been burned on over the years (ahhh, the memories ) ..but there is some cloth in there though..I'll check them out if you want , let me know .

Thanks Ray but..West Point has a large room full of items that probably won't be displayed until long after we are all long gone ..it's a shame but , the "Public" can't look at WW2 objectively yet , the wounds are still healing. Many letters have been written to the West Point Superintendent's Office complaining about how some displays glorify the Nazis so , I can't blame the Museum for being reluctant to share what they have in the archives. They use to display the Flag the 42nd ID removed when they Liberated Dachau. They had to hide it because there was a certain group who kept spitting on it and trying to rip/destroy it. How can any Museum share or teach anything about History with things like that going on ?

Mike, the only difference is he said it belonged to the "Chief of the police at the airstrip" and it had what appeared to be a 'typical' eagle, and a ****ade. I believe I can buy it anytime.

Now you have me wondering any way you can take a picture of it? I'd like to see what it is. Mike, the only difference is he said it belonged to the "Chief of the police at the airstrip" and it had what appeared to be a 'typical' eagle, and a ****ade. I believe I can buy it anytime.
