Note that these pictures are Pat's and so was the dagger before it landed in Calgary.

Pat's rejects (this is the second I have received from Pat in the past 6 months) have turned into the best conditioned pieces that I have in my collection.

Merci, Patrice.

Ton ami,
John

Thank you John and I'm happy that you like it.

This dagger was bought from Denny Roach 6 years ago and it is the best one that I've ever seen.
In my humble opinion, it would be nearly impossible to upgrade this beauty. Wink

I'm glad that it now belongs to a friend and that it has found a good home in the Great White North.

Thanks Ed Martin.

I think many new collectors starts with a normal Army / SA or KM daggers in the beginning.
When they have collected some year they will find out the rarity of the LC daggers if they are in NM condition.
These daggers dont `pop up everywhere for sales and many of them are not worth the money because of the bad condition.

In the years too come , my opinons are these Land Customs daggers will rise value a lot in the future.

I could sell my LC many times this year. But i know i will never get hands of the same condition Lc again. Wink

Their value will certainly do much better than my stock portfolio nowadays. Big Grin

Very nice.

In an Earlier discussion I posted pictures of mine. So no need to do so again. Mine being the unusual type that does not conform but is genuine.

I have since found out that I am only the second person to own it. The other was the veterans son. It will remain in my drawer for a good few years.....I hope.

These are beauts.

Spock, your L.C. is the earliest and coolest L.C. I've seen.

Nothing wrong with these minty aluminum L.C's. Wink
I have a WKC. But your very early ALL Nickel Weyersberg with a plated blade is in a league of it's own. Cool

http://daggers.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/812094573/m/5910051165

It's only the second one I've seen and the quality is unsurpassed to any other maker IMO.

IMO the Eickhorn version of this dagger is of MUCH nicer quality than the Alcoso. The quality of the daggers castings is by far the best.

Anywhere between $ 3500 to $ 4000 USD would be fair.

Carlos,
I'll let Pat answer the price question but I would just like to say the following:
IMO it's not easy to compare a Nickel Customs to an Aluminum one. A nickel example such as Spock's is a scarce find. So scarce that even many years ago the prevelent thought was that a genuine Land Customs would be in Aluminum only and the scabbard fitting accent "lines" would only be on the obverse of the scabbard.
Which companies produced the nickel version, for how long, is still a mystery. But IMO they are scarce and very difficult to find.

Carlos,
The only problems I have seen when Land Customs daggers were slow moving was either the condition was not good or the sellers were asking too high a price.
Especially when you can get hangers with them it's a solid investment in a great looking and important dagger in which no "Model Type" collection should be without. Wink

-serge-
