Hi Zorro. Your bayonet is not unusual, it's a special order to Paul Weyersberg for an unknown destination. The last year found is 1941. I have one like that, they are not very rare, but they are sought after.

do you have the matching scabbard with it? Is the serial number 1367Tr , or is it another digit after the 7 ? Do you have a date on the spine of the blade?

Arnaud,Thanks for the reply.Yes it does have another degit, five in all 13672Tr.There is no date on the spine,The scabbard has the same number on it 13672Tr,but no maker code (crs)I have several questions. My bayonet has no code or date so how can one tell who made it and when? You say the last year found is 41 then ask if mine is a 44? I do not understand. Thanks again.

You have a signature, Arnauds is "if its a 44..." has nothing to do with the Tr marked blade. One theory is that these are an order for Italian use, not commmon but not overly rare running to over 10,000 production

Zorro, your Tr is 13672Tr, mine is 13572Tr, so yours is only 100 digits away from mine, yours is DEFINITELY a 1941. Not a '44 as my signature mislead you. Paul Weyersberg is a pretty messy manufacturer when it comes to markings, specially in 1941 ! Some of his blades are stamped 41crs, some are only crs with the 41 on the spine, some are not maker stamped at all on the blade, with the only scabbard being stamped 41crs. Yours in an interesting exemple, and I hope for you you have it's matching scabbard.
