the dagger came in the mail today. as much as I dont want to admit it Im pretty sure its a reproduction dagger. the guards are made of brass (shiny) and there are no marks on it at all. not to say its not a nice dagger who ever made it put ALOT of work into it. but Im pretty sure if a german manufacter made such a nice blade thay would have put a makers mark on it
all and all I diden't pay alot for it and I am still VERY pleased with the workmanship put into this dagger. it will be a nice wall hanger

It looks real tight under that tang nut. Can it be 'taken down' so you can look inside the grip?

sorry to say that in my opinion is not even a reproduction.

I would think your knife is fantasy creation.

Sorry about the bad news

Put an old rubber glove over the top and use the 'nutcracker' part of a pair of pliers to turn the nut.
