Dear Dave, Thanks. I have seen photos like this before. I think the heavy bullion cap pieces were just naturally "bigger" than the normal stamped aluminum. Also in true navy tradition I think these guys liked BIG insignia. I know my cap piece, the infamous 6 feathered one, is exactly in between the size of a sleeve eagle and a stamped cap eagle. Now please find a photo with 6 feathers on the cap eagle for me Here is my size comparison photo from my earlier thread. Thanks, Bill Unland

Here is another photo from Joe, which I am sure he won't mind my reposting here. These guy's cap eagles are also almost the same size as their sleeve eagles. The guy in back has a "normal" sized aluminum eagle.
