Anyone know anything about these? Roughly 6 inches long by 7/8 to 1 inch wide.

These measure about 6 inches x 1 inch, and do not react to black light. Anyone have any ideas?

To tell you the truth, I always thought that these were bad copies made sometime in the distant past. I have never seen anything like them on real uniforms or in pics.

To be exacting, these stupid looking fakes, same exact backings, same too-short length, used to be sold around 1966-1971 for 60 cents each by the Insignia Collectors Club, Box 71, Rockaway Park, NY; they later changed their name/address to: International Collections, Box 303, Jamaica, NY, but still used the same catalog/pictured sales leaflets. I still have plenty of their old sales literature. Their fakes were terrible, especially the medals/badges, & couldn't compare at all to the Souval stuff of the same era.

Hi, These are old "Patch King" replicas made 1943 - 50! I have an old wartime (1944) magazine article about a NY kid that collected insignia and some of these cuff band replicas are shown in his collection under "Enemy Insignia". The patch king produced real military insignia for the US armed forces and began making reproduction insignia during the war! Most of their stuff wouldn't fool anyone but the Patch King also reproduced German sleeve specialty insignia which are quite accurate. Diane www.brandenburghistorica.com
