Hi Ted,
I think it is OK.
Congrats, it looks very nice and I like the miniature also!
But be careful, there are high quality repros on the market. These daggers has very good blade, grip, etc, but easy to detect them of their painted scabbard.

Hello Ted.

Are there no makers marks?

I think it is ok. The dagger hardware conforms to the example of the navigators dagger I have. Your scabbard conforms to the photos I have seen and your emblem is correct for the "solingen contract" daggers, which is what I think this is. The etch with Alexander is conforming. On my reverse etch it has the double headed eagle. I do not see this as an issue.

I do wonder why the scabbard hardware is so shiny. I think it might have been buffed out.

All in all a rare find.

Be cautious, there is another thread just a few months ago where there were Eichkorn marked reproductions at several auction houses. These would have fooled us except for the poor tm. Make sure of your source on this one.

In my opinion.

Jim

Zet, did you buy the miniature. It is legitimate. I have the same model.

My dagger is also not maker marked. Many of the solingen contract daggers were not marked.
