Hubertus,
The high volume of reference books you have relates directly to your tremendous knowledge of the daggers and bayonets you have collected these many years. I hope that all your pictures
will encourage others with less experience to acquire a broader education of the "hobby" that all of us "in the hobby" deeply respect.

P.S. I especially liked picture #24

A great book reference from HERMANNS current auction catalogue. It was posted October 5, 2008 on page 3 of the HOUSTON COATES FORM titled HIRSCHFANGER CLAMSHELLS.
It is a good feeling to be a collector and have a period Hirschfanger and then later be able to have information available to show the time period it was produced and some of the marking history plus a value at times. It is also great to have members come forward with information that help you classify your possession.
I believe all of the collectors enjoy the forums when they are used correctly. The German Daggers Forums are being used a lot more world wide now if you notice some of the locations given by some of the presenters. It is beneficial to take and make time to give a presentation of your collection.
Sincerely,
HUBERTUS

Great library you have there. Books are great, too bad they take up so much space.

Nice to see a swedish book in there also, "White arms of the Royal armoury" Smile The Royal armoury has a great collection!
