I have recently found this beautiful sword, with a repainted scabbard...but the blade (Eickhorn old marking) seem older as the rest of the sword certainly made at his time, by his owner: Are you OK with me?

Looking at the pommel, it looks like a replacement blade could have been substituted. It appears that the peening is missing (or atypical from they usual tang peening on a lionhead). Can you post some bette photos of the top of the pommel showing the peening?
This might help to make a better determination. I think it is a possibility that the Eick. blade is a replacement just based on one of your photos.
That hilt is really nice though. Just beautiful. These rarely come along.
Perhaps a senior sword collector can chime in on this one and help get to the bottom of this.
