Nice grouping. A real shame it was forgotten and left behind by the family. Take good care of it.

Military trader had a small article that "named" purple hearts are on the rise. Now i see this group is for sale if i wasn't closing on a new house in three days i would pick this up!

IMHO Korean War Posthumous Purple Hearts are much rarer, extremely undervalued and under appreciated compared to their WWII counterparts.
Nice group!

Paul that is an outstanding grouping. I wish I had that luck. I am now getting into named US awards but with no luck. I have e-mailed 2 US awards dealers asking about items listed on their sites but get no replies. If you list something for sale at least write back on the status of the item! Anyone know any German sellers that might have named US awards for sale?

There are a few reputable military dealers that routinely get Named groupings (I wish we got them in our shop regularly, but they come in few & far between, and I end up keeping most of them myself~!) But some places to try are: advance guard militaria andrew lipps Brock's

Thanks Mr. Jerry. Brocks has some interesting items and the prices seem reasonable. Do not see any named awards but there are some nice numbered ones there. Really had hopes of hearing back from Mattmill.us as he has some nice named Purple Hearts there but I guess he does not care to respond.

Just want to say that I did receive a reply from matmil. Problem with my e-mail was the culprit. I will be getting a nice named WWII purple heart from him to start off the collection. Really excited about this!

Named medals sell off sites quite fast, so with anything good it takes a bit of luck to be in the right place at the right time. Good luck & Post what you do find~!

Great, more competition in the Purple Heart area. Seriously, nice piece! Good luck in your new area of collecting.

Thank you Dwight. I look for the silver and bronze stars that are named as well. Mr. Jerry is correct though, these things seem like they are getting harder to find, the real ones anyway. Too much junk on Ebay so I will stick with reputable dealers on these. Thanks for the help all. Really appreciated!
