Bernd, thanks for taking the time to post all those pictures of the various polizei document/award groupings! Very interesting material to review.

One thing I always check out is the myriad of circle stamps used and that Polizei-Regiment 2 is rather interesting where it appears the SS was added by hand after changing designation.

Excellent documents and medals: thanks so much for sharing them with us!

BTW we have included a 51-page chapter on medals, decorations and badges worn by the Police in Volume 2 of "Uniforms Organization and History of the German Police" and I hope this will at least in part satisfy the just demands of this Forum!

Roger Bender is burning the midnight oil to get Volume 2 ready, and it is expected to exceed 800 pages.

The Infantry Assult document is signed by later Knight's Cross holder Fritz Freitag. He also served as the second Ia of Polizei Division (after Walter Kr�ger).
