Hello.
Does anybody have any ideas on removing musty mildewy oder from a leather belt???

Saddle soap, that is if there is no dry rot.
Dry rot is not reversible and saddle soap may damage the leather further!
However if the leather is healthy saddle soap will help prevent dry rot as well as spruce it up a good deal, including the smell!
Saddle soap will change the light colored leathers slightly too darker because of water staining, and possibly darker leather too lighter, due to grime removal.

Use CAUTION, as this is just my opinion and not advice as to a course of action on your part.

Hello Again.
The leather is not dry rotten it is supple? It just smells i want to use it on a tunic I do not want to put any thing on it to treat it i just want to get rid of the smell if anybody can help?

It may smell because the mold and mildew is still present. You can put it in a ziplock bag with a container of activated charcoal to absorb oders. I think you can buy at the local hardware store or onling for sure.
