somebody tell me that there was no such...quick befor I go nuts...I thought the Leibstandarte wore the "Adolf Hitler" suetterlin cuffband.

Here is what brought that question about. Yesterday I had to take my wife to the Endodontist in Berlin, Md. While waiting for her I went into this antique store. There was glass vitrine full of German Militaria. The guy manning the counter of course was NOT the owner...so he was no help...but here is what I purchased...a cap skull...without any RZM mark in the back...I think it is a repro...one cuffband with "Leibstandarte" on it...one hatband (WWI) with battleship "Scharnhorst". I think that one is genuine, and a bag of 100 metal pips that the SS guys used to make their taps into ranks...they all look like they were made yesterday...but they are accurate repros...if they are repros...

here is what I paid
cap skull $59
meatal pips $100.00 for the hundred
head band "Scharnhorst" $35
and the cuffband "Leibstandarte" $45.
Has anybody seen this repro before? and who made them...the letters are not in a good line and look scattered. Thanks for any info on these items...Prosit...your SteinMeister...Roland.

The Leibstandare is a definate fake. especially typical as you mention the misalighnment of the letters. These were sold by a few companies on the 1960-70s, such as "Delta international", and "WWII Ltd." (among others) I hope some of the other items may be real, but all "have been faked". Post some pics when you can O'SteinMeister
