Hello:
I am very new to collecting SS cloth and wonder if someone could help me with the Alte Kampfer Chevron that is listed on Helmut Weitze's site as No. 93560 (sorry, I can't provide the link).
My concern is that this one pictured here looks very different from the one that is pictured in the Davis book, Badges and Insignia of the Third Reich, plate 58.
Is the badge for sale a legitimate variation or can Davis be wrong?
