Hello, Here are some recent pick-ups I thought that everyone would like to see. First, we have a EM tab for "Bad Tolz" officer canidate school. This tab took me a while to find, but now my set is complete. Jim Toncar, if you are viewing I would very much like to see your tabs. Also, I am trying to remember if there was one made in "block" lettering with a small "T". If so, then the hunt continues.

All three tabs. The officers tab with the large "block" "T" came out of a hotel buy about two years ago. The officers tab with the "gothic" "T" came from Mr. Jenkins.

Here are two sets of "Germania" boards. The one set is a perfect match, but the other w/o piping is slightly different. notice the "G"'s one has more pointed ends, but both came from same tunic.

Great thread Grant.Thanks for posting these examples.If you have examples...could you start-off a thread on SS-VT enlisted cufftitles?Specifically pre-war examples.I dont have any or I would.But I would be very interested in studying the actual pre-war titles worn by SS-VT enlisted personnel.Thanks,Dave T.

Wooow....

I have to quote Howard Carter when asked by Lord Carnavon if seeing anything after having broken the seal to Thutankamuns tomb;

I see wonderful things!

Very nice and rare stuff shown! Beyond the reach for us normal collectors!

Thanks for sharing!

Hi Grant ,
I sent you a scan of my Tolz tabs, in answer to your question the Tolz tab does exsist with the smaller "T" in the block form . This is a very hard tab to get , I have only seen one a number of years ago .

Dear Grant,
The bullion VT and TV insignia items you have posted are superb. Very rare items indeed. Obviously low rez digital pictures are misleading posted on the web but are you 100% comfortable with the enlisted "T" and Deutschland tabs? The stitching and configuration of the runes, especially seen on the close-up of the "T", seems a bit off.
Maybe it's just my old and tired eyes.

Interesting. Ok, Since this is a discussion forum, let's find out who and where these tabs are made? Show me one firm that is currently making repro tabs such as these (same quality)? Better yet! let us see some pictures of these high quality tabs. I not mad, but I just want to see proof. Let me show you some of my comparisions. Pictured are the two tabs along with two tabs that I personally purchased from two different U.S. veterans from different areas in the United States. I have the liberty of holding the pieces in hand and I understand that the only thing you have to go is the pics, but I can assure you that the construction and the type of thread is the same.

Ok, John here are your cuff titles you wanted to see. IMO your pre-war bands were narrower in width and the aluminum borders are tighter. Look at the pics and you will see what I mean. The "Germania" gothic band shown is IMO made early or mid-war period. The "SS Schule Tolz" band came out of a huge score Hotel buy in Bluefield, WV. some extremely rare Totenkopf cuff bands were in that group as well. By the way the group is pictured in the latest war booty book by Schiffler books. enjoy.
