Here's one I've never seen before. Iinside of strap marked from stamping "II/Flakrgt.26" and then hand written in some kinds of ink "LBA1S13" "8.8 attr".

Heres some photos. I bought the knot without a saber. Anyone ever seen a marked knot like this? From the markings, i'd say it went to some sort of state owned sword that belonged to a Flak 88 gun.

3rd marking. There is actually more on the other side of the know which I cannot make out. It has become very faint with the years.

Swordfish,

Your knot is a Luftwaffe Faustriemen. It appears to be property marked to the IInd Bn of Flak Regiment 26. I can't read the battery number. So, it appears to be for an enlisted or NCO Luftwaffe bayonet and not for a Heer sword.

Thanks George. How often are these still seen?

Now that is cool. I love heavily marked stuff like that.

George,
It's an interesting one. I have never come accross a marked knot. I had thought it was an army saber NCO knot. I know now. I had no idea it was marked until today when I actually inspected it.

The Luftwaffe seemed to mark these knots for a period of time. I have seen far fewer Heer knots marked in this manner.
